Vern is a pretty Taekwondo coach who can kick any man's ass.

She has various international and local titles and awards under her belt to prove it. She takes pride in her strength and athleticism which puts her at par with her male counterparts.

As Vern is lucky in her career, she is just as unlucky in love.

She hopes to break what she calls “the relationship curse” when she goes to the island.

In addition to finding a new love, Vern, a Far Eastern University graduate, is confident that her champion moves can beat the guys in the game.

Vern says:

Sa Survivor, wala talaga akong strategy. Basta never akong mananakit ng tao, sabi ko rin never akong magsisinungaling.

Ayokong mag-deceive ng tao. Kung ano ang personality ko sa labas ng island, yun din ako sa game.

Sumali din ako para ipakita ang natutunan ko sa basic military training sa Marine at Navy, and para ma-apply ko ang discipline ng taekwondo at first aid training.

Sa favorite castaway, hindi ko kasi alam yung name niya. Girl siya na long hair, lagi siyang may headband sa buhok… sobrang tough at pretty siya. Okay siya maglaro… yung opening sila yung nasa boat nagro-row at tumalon sa dagat with a guy.

Paolo says:

A true achiever in life, Vern takes this attitude to camplife and in the challenges, always having her game face on to win the battles ahead.

A natural motivator for her tribe, Vern gives her 100% all the time but will that make her an easy target or will it earn her the top spot?
