At the camp, the Castaways were excited to have their first taste of coffee since they set foot on the island.
Nanay Zita quickly boiled water for everyone. "Parang dito talaga kung sa paalila, pakumbaba, pailalim ako sa kanilang lahat, talagang ginagawa ko po talaga 'yun."
It was just the right timing as heavy rain was threatening to pour again.
Among all the Castaways, Charisse was the most excited to drink coffee. "Sobrang coffee drinker talaga ako, as in araw - araw ako umiinom ng kape. Miss na miss ko na 'yung mga kapeng iniinom ko. 'Yung amoy ng kape, 'yung lasa ng kape, ang tagal - tagal ko nang tinatakam."
JC who was not a coffee drinker had a new found appreciation for coffee. "Sa Manila, binabalewala lang namin 'yung coffee. Pero dito, makakita lang ng coffee, sobrang happy na 'yung buong tribe."
Meanwhile, Rob was thankful for his reward, "Hindi ako nanalo ng kahit anong reward, kung kailan pa 'yung big cash, doon pa ako nanalo."
"If it's for you, it's for you," Charisse said.
"Parang ako, pare, 'yung beef steak hindi ko pa nakakain 'yun, dito ko lang nakain talaga. Ang kapal pa," Cris said.
JC said, "Kung para sa 'yo, para sa 'yo. Kaya dapat kahit anong makuha mo dito, thankful ka."
JC was happy to see his tribe mates happy, "Nakita ko lahat ng ka - tribe ko sobrang naka - smile. Kahit hindi nanalo sa reward challenge, at least may coffee kami. Nakakapag - usap usap kami, kuwentuhan, lahat masaya."
The Castaways' conversation shifted again to Marlon. Cris could not forget Marlon's threat that was bound to explode.
Charisse was doubtful that Marlon still had an evil plan against the remaining tribe members.
"I think may sinasabi siya during interviews na hindi niya na tinuloy. Like even the flint thing, hindi na niya tinuloy," Cha said.
JC said he already forgave Marlon, "Sabi ko, 'Marlon, nakita ko na 'yung good side mo.' 'Yun nga magaan na 'yung loob ko sa kanya. May pinakita siyang (mabuti), tapos 'yung tribe gusto na siyang mawala. So 'yun, goodluck 'di ba?"
Meanwhile, Kaye confided to Nanay Zita that she felt Kiko was still angry at her because of the past betrayal, "Wala akong galit sa kanya, sobra. Pero galit siya sa 'kin, nararamdaman ko 'yun."
After having their first cups, it seemed the coffee gave more than just a caffeine rush to the Castaways. It also boosted their morale.
"Grabe, bigla akong sumaya sobra. Parang down na down na ko. Atat na atat na kong umuwi dahil sa ulan. Tapos gusto ko nang matapos 'to. Ngayon parang (sige pa, kaya ko pa.)" JC said.
"Give it to me, baby!" Charisse exclaimed.
"More! More! 900 days!" Rob joked.
JC asked smiling, "Ito ba effect ng coffee bro? Maybe."
That night, Rob prayed in gratitude for the reward he won.
"Ang pinaka-inaasam asam asam asam ng lahat ng Castaway na reward ay napunta sa 'kin. P50,000. Kumbaga, boundary na ko. At ang pinaka-sweet doon ay napunta sa pamilya ko," Rob said.
Hopeless
The next morning, Rob retrieved the treemail for the Immunity Challenge.
"Lumambitin ka na ba na parang si Tarzan
Lumangoy ka na ba over and under sa karagatan?
Takbo, langoy, lipad,
Mag - isip baka kung saan mapadpad
Ang mahiwagang elepante naghihintay sa tuktok
Bilisan dahil sa loob, may premyo."
Charisse was hopeless, "Oh my God. Okay fine. Alam ko na namang dehado ako sa ganitong challenge. Inisip ko, sana isa sa mga ka -alliance ko right now ang manalo ng Immunity Challenge."
Kaye was also apprehensive about the challenge, "Takbo, langoy, lipad. Hala! Ano ba 'to? Pinagsama-sama na naman. Nakakatakot."
Paolo told the Castaways that this might be their most exciting challenge yet that would put their strength to the test.
During the first round, the Castaways would need to climb up a wall while holding on to a rope, jump on a cargo net and get their flag.
The first four members to step on the tribe mat would advance to the second round.
The four qualifiers would then need to swim out to the bamboo station in the water, jump over the bamboo bars and get their flag. Then they would need to jump over the bamboo bars again and swim to shore.
The first three tribe members to step on the tribe mat would proceed to the last round. They would need to dig in the sandpit and look for six colored planks.
After finding the planks, they would raise their flag and bring the planks to the tower. Then they would place the planks on the corresponding steps at the side of the tower.
The first Castaway who would climb the tower and get the white elephant would win Immunity.
Tough challenge
JC was the first to get through the first round followed by Cris, Nanay Zita and Rob. Kaye and Charisse were barely able to climb the wall.
Cris had a wound in his foot but he chose to continue with the challenge.
As they sat watching on the shore, Kaye assured Charisse, "Huwag kang mag - alala. Hindi ka mawawala. Pero kunyari wala kang alam. Kunyari siyempre kabado ka."
"Nakapagpaalam na ko sa mga ito," Charisse said.
"Hindi ka mawawala. Trust me," Kaye said as if implying that Charisse was already part of their alliance.
During the second round, JC was also the first one to get his flag followed by Nanay Zita.
Rob just gave up from getting the flag while Cris hobbled to the shore in pain.
As JC and Nanay Zita dug through the sand pit, Cris seemed ready to give up but he mustered enough strength to dig in the sandpit.
JC and Nanay Zita were neck and neck as they got three planks each.
Paolo reminded the Castaways that in case they found an opponent's plank, they can choose to bury it deep in the sand.
Cris still could not find a plank.
"Cris, ano ba? Kaya mo 'yan!" Charisse shouted from the sidelines.
"Dude, mahapdi," Cris complained.
"Cris ano na?" Paolo asked.
Cris said, "Masakit na masyado."
"Cris, kaya mo 'yan. 'Wag ka mag - give up," Kaye encouraged him.
"Don't give up!" Charisse shouted. "Pahinga ka lang sandali. Upo ka. Upo ka."
"Chitae, huwag ikaw suko hukay," Rob said. "Tira lang. Tira."
"Sige Tarzan, ako sunod," Cris said.
Meanwhile, Charisse was entertaining Rob and Kaye by imitating Vern's modeling poses during the last Tribal Council.
Strong need for immunity
Finally, Cris found a plank while JC found his fourth plank.
JC found his fifth plank while Nanay Zita found her fourth.
Cris quickly caught up as he found his second and third plank.
Tired from digging, Nanay Zita asked help from Cris, "Dong, wala kang nakitang dilaw?"
"Wala po Mommy," Cris answered.
Then to help Cris, Nanay Zita said, "'Yun lang dalawang violet nakita ko 'yung doon at saka doon."
Shortly after, JC got his sixth plank and raised his flag.
Nanay Zita wanted to give up.
"Nay, kudkod!" Rob said.
"Nay, 'wag kang mawalan ng pag - asa!" Kaye shouted.
"Good job, brother! Good job," Rob told JC.
Nanay Zita and Cris were still digging while JC placed all the planks on the tower.
JC climbed up the tower and got the white elephant to win Immunity.
"Inisip ko na sobrang kailangan ko 'tong Immunity necklace kasi nga, alam ko na every time wala sa 'kin 'yung Immunity necklace, ako 'yung target nila," JC said.
