Back at the camp, Rob told Cris that he should not have thrown the black pearl. He thought Cris endangered himself in the next Tribal Council because two votes would be automatically counted against him.

Cris said he was firm in his decision since he just wanted to break the curse and stop it from affecting his other tribe members. Though he knew that he could possibly be the next person to be voted out, Cris was ready to go since he already did what he had to do.

Later in the day, the tribe received a treemail that hinted at something that they had all been longing for.

Cris was teary eyed as he anticipated a possible reunion with their loved ones. Charisse, however, refused to be too happy since she did not want to expect too much. "Huwag kayong magpa-asa, masakit sa puso!" she exclaimed.

Tearful reunions

Before the reward challenge began, Paolo told the tribe that they would be working in teams and he would be the one to choose their partners.

The Castaways' eyes lit up in excitement as Paolo called Nanay Zita forward and announced her team mate. From the far end of the beach, out came Nanay Zita's son - in - law.

Nanay Zita was so overhwelmed with joy that she ran halfway to meet him.

Next, Paolo called Cris and announced that his team mate was his mom. Cris ran crying toward his mother. Both slumped on the sand as they embraced each other as if to make up for the weeks that they had been apart.

Charisse then stepped forward and Paolo announced that her team mate was her father. Charisse was sobbing as she ran toward her father who was crying hard as well.

Rob was teary - eyed when Paolo announced that his team mate was his older brother. Rob put a shell necklace around his brother's neck as if to welcome him in the island.

JC was also near tears when Paolo announced that his team mate was his girlfriend. Both could no longer hold back their tears as they embraced each other after weeks of separation.

The best prize

Paolo said that the teams would need to focus and work together to claim the prized reward: an over night trip to Bangkok. Everyone cheered ready to get in action.

The Castaways would be blindfolded and tied to a bamboo station where their team mates are standing. The loved ones would then shout directions to the Castaways so that they could navigate through the challenge course and get colored flags. The first team who could accumulate 15 flags would win the reward.

Throughout the game, Nanay Zita, Cris and JC had a close fight as they all got one flag after another. In the end, Nanay Zita won the challenge.

After the game, Paolo asked Nanay Zita to choose another team to go with them to the Bangkok trip.

Cris put his hands together as if praying and pleading that he would be chosen.

Nanay Zita paused for a moment and chose Cris and his mother to enjoy the reward with them.

Then Paolo asked Nanay Zita to choose another loved on who could stay in the island for a day.

Nanay Zita chose JC's girlfriend Alu to stay at the camp.
