Paolo explained that the Castaways would need both speed and skill to accomplish the reward challenge.
First, the Castaways would need to cross a rope course using two wooden planks.
Then they have to run to a see-saw station where two cans are attached to each end. They would need to make a fire in the first can and fill the other can with water to bring the see-saw down and raise the can containing the fire. The can with the fire has to reach a wick attached to a raised wooden post and light it.
The first one who accomplishes the challenge wins a very tempting reward: a massage at a spa in Krabi, Thailand.
Rope, water and fire
JC was the first get to the rope course followed by Rob, Cris and Charisse.
Rob fell from his plank and had to start over while JC was more than halfway the rope course.
Cris and Charisse were neck-to-neck as they slowly stepped on their planks.
JC was leading the group as he jumped off the rope course and quickly got to his see-saw station.
He was already making his fire while Cris, Charisse and Rob were still only halfway through the rope course.
JC was starting to pour water into his bucket when Rob and Cris finished the rope course.
Charisse was left behind as she slowly made her way across the rope course. After doing that yoga-yoga whatever."
Charisse finally finished her rope course while JC finally filled up his water bucket.
Small fire
The fire bucket reached the top post but it did not ignite the wick. "Maliit 'yung nagawa kong apoy tapos nasa side pa 'yung kailangang masunog so doon ako nahirapan.
Cris and Rob already made their fire while Charisse was just starting to make her own.
"There was a fire-making thing na parang I'm not a fire-maker, alam mo 'yun. I only know how to do it with baga parang medyo magpaypay-paypay ka lang," Charisse said.
Rob was able to make a bigger fire than the others and started to fill up his water bucket. His water bucket reached the top of the post but it also failed to light the wick, "My first attempt was no good. I thought ako na pero hindi inabot ng apoy kasi lumihis 'yung rope palabas ng can."
Cris tried to catch up but his bucket also did not light the wick hanging on the post. Namatay pala 'yung apoy," Cris said.
Rob and JC tried to make their fires bigger. Then Rob thought of a better strategy, "Kailangan mong patayuin 'yung mga kahoy kaysa sa nakahiga lang siya kasi 'pag pinatayo mo, uusli 'yun sa can, eventually mas magka-catch ng fire."
Rob's strategy worked as he successfully lit up the fire and won the reward.
"It was a close game. Akala ko JC na naman. I thought kay Cris. It was my lucky day," Rob said.
Repaying debts
Paolo told Rob to pick another Castaway to share the reward with.
"Siyempre alam mo 'pag may reward tayo, mayroon kang puwedeng isama," Paolo said. "Masahe, tamang kain, tamang tulog."
"Kung saan ako may malaking pagkakautang," Rob said. "JC."
Charisse, who has never been picked for a reward since the beginning of the Chalam Tribe, was not disappointed that she did not get picked again.
"Regardless of who wins it, JC or Rob, alam mo 'yun, JC would pick Rob to go with him to the spa. And Rob will pick JC, it has no impact on my end," Charisse said.
JC, on the other hand, did not expect that Rob would choose him.
But Rob admitted JC was on top of his priority list as a way of giving back for the rewards JC shared with him, "Obviously, si JC talaga ang unang-una sa listahan kung mayroon man akong pagpipilian.
Targeting Rob
Rob and JC rode the speedboat into the sunset while Charisse and Cris headed back to camp.
For Charisse, it would have to take some getting used to being around Cris.
"Out of all the boys, I'm not that close with Cris. Cris and I come from different worlds, e," Charisse said.
The two talked about plans for the upcoming Tribal Council.
Cris recounted to Charisse how Rob reacted when he learned that Cris threw away the black pearl, "Sabi niya wala raw ligtas, sabi niyang ganoon ni Rob.
Gumaganoon-ganoon siya (pointing to his temple).
"Sino ba?" Cris asked.
Lost in forks, spoons and knives
Rob and JC arrived at the resort in Krabi to have dinner. "Hindi ko ine-expect na ganoon, fine dining. So 'yun nga, medyo nanibago kami ni Rob. Tagal na naming walang city, island lang. Wala kaming spoon, wala kaming fork tapos pagdating sa dinner, sobrang fine dining."
Rob was surprised with the resort's ambience, "Wow, it was so romantic.
The two wanted to eat with their bare hands so Rob asked the waiter, "Can we eat this the Naak way or the Survivor way of eating?"
But the waiter, who resembled the comedian Dolphy, could not understand him.
"Hindi tayo nagkakaintindihan, it's okay. Thank you very much. Maraming salamat." Rob said.
When the waiter was walking away from them, Rob said, "Umayos ka, Dolphy, a."
Later, Rob jokingly asked the waiter, "What's your name? O? Are you sure not Dolphy, a?"
Both men were overwhelmed at all the food being served to them, "'Di ko alam kung lima o anim na beses pabalik-balik 'yung food. In fact, nakakatawa nga kasi hindi kami sanay mag-kutsara. Hindi kami sanay mag-knife, knife. Mag-tinidor, tinidor.
Rob asked upon seeing JC's almost empty plate. "Ang lupit mo, brother!"
Then he raised a toast to JC, "Thanks for everything, man."
Slim chances
Before they went to sleep, Cris and Charisse were still talking about Rob and JC.
Cris said, "Si Rob at saka si JC, walang problema sa dalawang 'yan. Umakyat, walang problema.
So parang binabalewala niya 'yung laro."
Sleeping beauties
Meanwhile, Rob and JC headed to the Vogue Resort and Spa.
After having tea, they were treated to a foot spa.
Then they relaxed in the jacuzzi to prepare for the Thai massage. Both fell asleep as the masseuses kneaded their tired bodies.
After their massage, they had a facial to cap their spa reward.
Finally, they went to the Alis Hotel to get a much needed comfortable sleep.
Inevitable fate
Meanwhile, at the camp, Cris discussed with Charisse their fate for the coming days, "Sa 'kin at saka sa 'yo, malabo tayo makaakyat, e. Alam mo 'yun, 'pag ako nawala, tatlo kayo.
But Charisse still hoped that she could find a way to make it into the top two, "I was also thinking of the possibility if JC won or I won the Immunity na baka it would be a bigger chance for me to get to the final two knowing that JC does not have any promise made to Cris and me kung sino 'yung dadalhin sa final two 'di ba?"
"Kunyari na-vote out si Rob. I bet matutuwa ang jury 'pag natanggal si Rob," Charisse said.
"Kalmadong kalmado ang kulapo, e, 'no?" Cris said.
"Ako I would want to vote out Rob, e.
Well strategy niya 'yun. At nakaabot siya ng top four because of that.
For Charisse, all is fair in Survivor, "It's not easy voting off someone who is very passionate to win in this game. Kasi alam naman natin na parang even if Survivor is not a charity game, parang may times din na you feel na sana 'yung less fortunate 'yung makakuha noong prize money since they need it more. Pero at the end of the day, it's still a competition. Parang lahat naman tayo dito, pantay-pantay."
